Ballistics

  • Ballistic Armor is a wide discipline where many parameters are involved and affecting the protection level and bulletproof properties. These properties derive from the armor material compound; from the material thickness and configuration; and of course, from the armoring structure.
  • The protection levels are usually defined by the weaponry / bullets which the armor obstructs:

  • Generally, in the field of armored vehicles, one of the most critical pivots is the Protection – Weight ratio:

  • As higher the protection level is requested (pivot A) the heavier the armor's weight will be (pivot B).

  • Since Mayotex focuses on Civilian & Commercial platforms, the armor's weight takes a significant role. Thus, the company has invested much in finding, developing and designing the armor suit, with light-weight bulletproof materials and unique armor structure, which enable to reach higher protection level (pivot A) without increasing the weight (pivot B) dramatically.
